Sisters Of Mercy, The - First And Last and Always "The Japanese Edition" [LP]
Formed in Leeds in the UK by guitarist Gary Marx and vocalist Andrew Eldritch in 1980, The Sisters Of Mercy released their first full-length album First And Last And Always in March 1985. The culmination of five years of independent releases, whilst building up a large cult following, their debut album reached Number 14 the UK charts, by which time the band also featured Wayne Hussey on guitar and Craig Adams on bass, both of whom would later leave the band to form The Mission. Originally signing to Warner Music in 1984, First And Last And Always was the only album from this highly influential line-up. The album was released in Japan in July 1985, and features different versions of four tracks. Although this unique mix was used for the first CD edition in 1988, this new LP will be the first time that this mix will be available on vinyl outside of Japan. It will also be remastered from a new transfer of the original Japan production master.
